Learning outcomes: Knowledge: The student understands the theoretical basics of planning experience, their design and basic biological research methodology. He can define the purpose of the predicted measurements or experiments. It plans to run a series of measurements and experiments. BI_W10; BI_W11; BI_W12; BI_W13, The student knows how to plan experiments. He knows the rules of the development of the results. He has knowledge of how to prepare the conclusions of the planned experiments and use them in practice. BI_W04; BI_W14; BI_W17, He has knowledge of the basic techniques and research tools used in mathematics, statistics, biology to conduct experiments and analysis of biological data. BI_W15 Skills: Apply the basic techniques and research tools in the field of experimental biology. Knows how to construct a research hypothesis and choose the appropriate statistical test, interpret the test results, BI_U02; BI_U03; BI_U08; BI_U10, Understand the literature on planning experiments in Polish. Knows how to prepare basic development problems of planning experiments. BI_U03; BI_U08; BI_U10, Social competences: It is aware of the possibilities of using the knowledge of the planning of experiments to solve the problems associated with the practice of bioinformatics. BI_K05, ,
Assessment methods and assessment criteria: Completion of the course: students are obliged to complete exercises and exam in written form (5 questions out of 120 open-ended questions) the exam session. The test takes 30 minutes. In case the credit of lectures is not successful on the first date the student has the right to re-sit orally or in writing within a bugfix.
