Short description: During the course students learn about new technolgies and new solutions in genetics and possibility to used them in animal breeding.
Full description: Genetic markers. Genome analysis and sequencing. Miccroarrays and used them to genotyping. Marker assited selection. QTLs. Genomic breeding values (GBV) vs. Estimation breeding values (EBV). Transgenic animals and crioconservation.

In area of social competences student: 1. is able to work in group.
Assessment methods and assessment criteria: The grade obtained from project 50% and the grade obtained from exam 50%.
